Growing Up

One minute she's my little baby and the next she's my big girl. Both Joe and I have noticed in the last two weeks she's grown up sooooo much, I swear it was overnight. I can no longer feed her anything, if I touch the spoon I get a whole body shake 'NO.' She's walking everywhere and wants to walk herself whenever she can and if she can't she's quite happy to tell you and everyone else within a five miles radius how unfair it is that she has to sit in her pushchair. Her vocabulary has grown so much as well, though I confess I still don't understand a lot of her words, but I'm sure I will. She was calling the dog Daddy, until I realised that though it sounds like Daddy, there's a slightly different pitch to it than when she calls Daddy, Daddy. She's very fond of the dog though, constantly giving him hugs and kisses and he's very good with her, thank God. I love that I can actually talk to her now and she understands what I'm saying, life is so much easier in so many ways, but then there's the discipline thing which isn't so hard when you know what you should do but it's working out what's the right course of action in a few seconds or less. Anyway, I'm really enjoying her at the moment, but then the prozac probably helps too. I finally went to the doctor about a month ago and he said it sounded like I had post natal depression. I must admit I feel like my old self again and for the first time since she was born I actually really want to spend time with her. I didn't realise until recently how much it stressed me out and I really wasn't that happy spending time with her.
