Joe and I now have to start spelling around both our children as Henry understands 'walk' (though we've noticed he can spell the word as well) and Imogen understands 'park' and 'beach.' We've only been to the beach three times as well, but unless you tell her you're going to the park next she'll cry most of the way home (fortunately only a two minute walk). She loves the sand and picking up rocks to throw them (something she picked up watching us throw rocks for Henry. He won't fetch so you get more exercise than the dog if you throw something valuable - yes I know, he's a Labrador RETRIEVER, you try telling him!!!!) She's also taken her first steps into the surf, as well enjoying a little sit in the water much to Daddy's disgust when he pulled a wet, sandy little peanut from the waves.
Her vocabulary is coming on a treat now that I understand her better. She's probably been properly talking about stuff for ages but I wasn't smart enough to understand the poor girl, but I'm getting it now. She loves to read her books and you can really see her taking everything in. She's so much fun now, toddlers are so much better than babies. I wish you could have farmed out for the first year, but still have them pick up all the bits you would want them to if they were around you all the time. I just don't really want her to grow anymore because she's so yummy at the moment. Do you like the cardi she's wearing it's a Mummy original. As I've said in the past I'll take orders from anyone, I love to knit!!!

She is seriously gorgeous Colleen. I am so glad you are feeling better and enjoying the toddler times too. We have to spell outside, play, park, bottle and think we might have to add bed and books to the list! Even the stubborn moments when chosen appropriately are adorable! Do you think you will get out west next year? We should try to get our monsters together!
Talk to you soon
Steph
