St Ives

Someone likes wearing her hat whenever she can

Smelling the tulips at the Eden Project

On the beach outside of the Tate

My very 'cool' family

This is an example of the road in St Ives, though this is quite bit stretch. Where's she's sitting is where you drive!!

I'm the worst at this. Sorry everybody, I will try harder I promise. Anyhoooo, the usual's been happening all year so far, work, nursery etc. We have decided to put Imogen into a new nursery which is affiliated with a private school in Paignton which according to a few of my customers is a great school as their kids have gone there. We went to see it last week and really were impressed. Mainly we want her there now because we really want her to go there when she starts primary school and if we start her at the nursery she's got an in when she's primary school age. It's going to cost a little more than we've been paying but we'd really rather her not have to associate with the majority of the kids in town and if we have to pay for it we both think it's worth it. She'll start this summer for their summer 'Buzz Club' as they call it. Because it's associated with the school everything is based on terms and they have half term holidays and everything. It will help Joe and I get back into the school mindset that we both left behind so many years ago. And the best bit, the uniform is to die for. It's so cute, the girls even get to wear a little boater in the summer!!! Anyway, I'm pleased with the choice we've made and it's so close to home - no hills on the way there or back!!!
Last weekend we decided to have little holiday as we hadn't really been anywhere for the longest time. We picked St Ives, a fantastic place on the North Cornish coast that's rather famous for it's artists etc. There's a Tate Gallery there as well. I'll attach some pictures so you can see what a beautiful place it is and we lucked out with the weather as well. The only thing I have against the place is that it really is a typical small English town and the roads are teeny tiny. It was quite funny, well in hindsight, we walked around the town shopping in the afternoon and both said boy we would hate to have to drive through here. No places for cars and pedestrians at the same time but you just have to find room. Anyway, about an hour later we got hopelessly lost on the way to the hotel and had to drive through the centre of town a few times. Imagine a small back alley with cobbles and shops on either side and people everywhere, oh and other cars coming at you in the other direction. English driving is an experience I tell you. Anyway, when Imogen wasn't having a spaz as we are now firmly in the terrible twos we had quite a good time. It really is a lovely place.
That's about it for the big news at the moment. Enjoy the photos and I'll try to write again sooner than I left it this time.
