I'm am so pleased, more pleased than I could ever express. He's finally home after another not great day for news yesterday when we started to think the worst again, today he's been much better and hasn't thrown up for about 36 hours now so they let him come home. He's even been eating on his own without coaxing so it's looking promising. I'm keeping my fingers very firmly crossed. He's still quite weak and not quite himself but he seems happy to be home on familiar ground. I have to say
though I don't think he minded being at the vets, he greeted me with the same enthusiasm after not seeing me for six days that he greeted the vet with. He is a very nice vet and seems to be very fond of Henry which is just what you want. We actually only just changed surgeries for him earlier this year as they last one we went to were so crap with customer service they drove me to distraction. Thank God we changed when we did. I'm confident he had the best care we could have hoped for. He's going in tomorrow again for a check up and then he has to go back next Saturday to have his stitches out, but after that he should be good to hopefully not set foot in the vets again till his boosters are due. I had almost given up hope, it was so hard to keep positive when the news just kept coming in badly, but at the same time I couldn't imagine being without him. Here's another photo of the best dog in the world.
